Sage

Sage is an incredibly durable herb plant, that withstands PNW winters with usually no protection needed. Often animals ignore it, but if chewed on by deer, it will come back. Give it plenty of room to grow into a hardy bush.

Dry leaves for culinary use by cutting off fresh sections on top (no woody stem, leave that) and air drying in paper bags, then store in glass jars. Crumble up before using.

$5, in 1 gallon pots.
